Our Team

Lon Blaser, DO, MSW, CPE, is Medical Director of Forward Health and Wellness. As chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, Dr. Blaser directs planning, delivery, and evaluation of effectiveness of the medical content of Forward’s health promotion and wellness programs.

Dr. Blaser was formerly a regional medical director for Marshfield Clinic, managing over 200 clinicians at 19 clinic sites throughout Western Wisconsin. He currently serves as Medical Director for Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire.

Dr. Blaser is board certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, and Administrative Medicine. He has 15 years experience in general and musculoskeletal medicine as well as an extensive background in behavioral health and psychosocial issues in medicine. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Blaser practiced social work for six years and lectured on family dynamics in the School of Nursing at Marycrest College.

Dr. Blaser earned his master's degree in social work at Saint Louis University and his medical degree at Michigan State University.
